Gautrain passengers were stuck underground for more than two hours in the dark on Tuesday afternoon due to a blackout.
HOW LONG WERE THE PASSENGERS STUCK ON THE GAUTRAIN?
According to some of the passengers who spoke to the media, they had been stuck for just over two hours.
The Gautrain was making its way from the Marlboro station to the Sandton station when the train came to a sudden halt.
Passengers took to social media and shared videos of them being evacuated. In the video, you can see the passengers walking on the railways.
While Gautrain has been vocal on Tuesday about the load shedding and its effects on the train services, they have yet to give a statement on the incident.
Passengers told the media they were just glad to get off the train and to go home.
