KwaZulu-Natal: At 09H34 Friday morning Netcare 911 responded to calls for assistance from the National Sea Rescue Institute as well as Umdoni EMS for a spear fisherman in distress in Scottburgh on the KZN South Coast.
Reports from the scene indicate that an adult male had sustained serious facial trauma after being shot in the face by a spear.
He was pulled out the water by Ethekwini Lifeguards where he was then treated on scene.
